Lumber River 2008
2007 was our “pilot” year for gathering bird data in our adopted site. Various folks made several trips throughout the year, and visited the many denoted sites, both on land and along the river. These data have been sent to Curtis Smalling to be compiled with all the Important Bird Area surveys on-going throughout NC.
In 2008, Wake Audubon has scheduled 4 times, so that those wishing to join in a group effort can plan ahead. Those dates are:
12-13 January
12-13 April
7-8 June
4-5 October
In 2007 the Comfort Inn at I-95 Exit 20 on 3070 Roberts Street gave us a discount on their rates. We expect they will do the same this year for those interested. For all the latest details on these trips, please contact John Little
