Adopt-A-Stream Program: Biltmore Hills Park
Wake Audubon participates in the City of Raleigh Adopt-A-Stream program. Our adopted section of stream is located in Biltmore Hills Park (2615 Fitzgerald Dr., Raleigh) from I-40 to Rush Street. The Stormwater Management Division’s Adopt-A-Stream program engages citizens to safeguard the health of streams by removing litter and debris (from the stream itself and before it can reach the stream) and looking for evidence of pollution, so that these areas are safer for both wildlife and people. We conduct two cleanups per year – once in the spring and once in the fall. We hope you’ll volunteer for a future clean up! You’ll help to improve the environment and meet new friends and fellow nature lovers!
Cleanups will be posted to our calendar as scheduled. Contact Joanne St. Clair at email@example.com for more information or to volunteer.
